the face (and camera) behind Botanical Pawtraits.
I’m a pet photographer based in South East Queensland, creating soulful, nature-inspired portraits that celebrate the magic of our dogs and the bond we share with them.

This business started with my own best friend: Fern, my Australian Shepherd. She’s more than just my dog - she’s my adventure buddy, my shadow, and my muse. Photographing her in the forest, at the beach, and along our favourite hiking trails opened my eyes to something special… how powerful a single photo can be in preserving a moment, a personality, a feeling.


That’s why Botanical Pawtraits exists. I want every dog to be remembered the way we remember Fern: muddy paws, spark in her eye, ears catching the breeze - completely herself.


Every session is tailored to suit your dog’s quirks, energy, and personality. Whether we’re wandering through towering gums or capturing golden hour zoomies by the water, the experience is relaxed, honest, and fun. My goal is simple: to freeze time in a way that feels true to your dog and beautiful to you.

Where it all began


Botanical Pawtraits was born long before it had a name — back when it was just me, a Canon M50 slung around my neck, and the wild beauty of K’gari (Fraser Island) all around me. I spent days photographing the island’s iconic dingoes, shifting sands, stormy skies and sunlit waves. That trip sparked something deeper than just a love of photography - it was the realisation that storytelling through nature and animals was where I felt most at home. From there, the camera never left my hand… and eventually, Fern stepped into frame. The rest, as they say, is history.
